 A variation on the writing desks reminiscent of the British Campaign furniture. The exterior of the box is done in a Dutch marquetry style copied from the collection at the Evergreen House.  The interior of the box contains a scale model of John Garrett’s boyhood room where his collections of books and memorabilia are kept.
